It's weird that my life's been sort of eventful the past weeks and yet I did not blog about 'em..

So yes.. it's official.. I'm out of the band… After telling the band I was out for good, there was this really big lump in my throat that I usually get when I think of my dad.. I've been mustering the confidence I needed to be a bitch and leave them hanging for months now.. been wanting out for some time.. Aside from my frequent absences, there were a lot of factors that led to such decision..

• According to my dad, I am a future professional and I should start acting like one
  
• Musical differences. We can't pull off a pop/punk/rock/funk band..Sure I have the same taste as the drummer but that's just not gonna do.. I think this is one of the major reasons why we can't compose more songs..
  
• Honestly, I don't see myself in Icalaua's future and vice versa..
  
• It was getting too showbiz and I got overwhelmed.
  
• I could not reciprocate the level of commitment and dedication the guys have for the band.
  

Just had to do what I had to do and that's all there was to it.. I just have to live with the fact that though I left, there is still an Icalaua.. They're gonna get better, bag a record deal, have die hard fans, and bask in the glory of fame. As for me, I'll be in the sidelines, sulking in one corner thinking if I made the right decision..

If I get my life on track and if luck would have it, I'll be in the band scene again.. Maybe start a brit rock or punk band.. What I've always wanted.. but when that time comes, it wouldn't be with Icalaua.. I walked out and there's no reason for me to go back.. At least for now..

What have i done recently that is blog worthy? Nothing really.

Oh right. Michael Johns got axed today. That was a real shocker. That man was in my personal top 2. What the hell is Syesha and Kristy Lee Cook still doing in the competition? I believe America has done a great job so far in choosing those to be eliminated up until now. Now that Michael is out, I'd have to make my new personal top faves. So here:

1. David Cook – I may have found him a tad arrogant in the semis but this dude's got talent.
   

   Jason Castro – This dude brings something new to the table
   

   David Archuleta – This Kid definitely has talent but I'm afraid he's good with gloomy songs only
   

   Brooke White – I'm not a big fan of the female finalists 'xcept for Brooke and carly.
   

   Carly Smithson – Rocker chick way better than Amanda Overmyer. Lol.
   

   
    

2. Syesha Mercado and Kristy Lee Cook – I hope AI does a double elimination special.. Haha..
